Join us for a comprehensive full-day workshop where you’ll immerse yourself in the world of AR-15 rifles. From building your own custom AR-15 to mastering its operation, this workshop offers a unique hands-on experience like no other.
Under the guidance of our expert instructors, you’ll learn the intricacies of assembling your AR-15 from scratch using a build kit. Each step of the assembly process will be thoroughly explained, ensuring you gain a deep understanding of the rifle’s construction and functionality. Moreover, you’ll acquire the skills necessary to troubleshoot any potential issues that may arise down the line.
After completing the assembly, you’ll head to our indoor range, where our staff will assist you in test-firing your newly built AR-15 and zeroing it in for optimal performance. This practical session allows you to familiarize yourself with your firearm’s capabilities and fine-tune its accuracy.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll walk away with your very own personalized AR-15, expertly assembled and calibrated to your specifications, ready to accompany you on your shooting adventures.
Please ensure you bring a valid driver’s license or ID to complete the necessary paperwork, including the ATF Form 4473, at the beginning of the class. In the event of a delay in your background check, you may be required to reschedule for a later date.
Please note the following logistics for the course: Class capacity is limited to 14 students, with a minimum enrollment requirement of 5 students for the class to proceed.

Reschedule/Cancelation Policy:
Customers are allowed ONE class reschedule if the request is made at least 2 days before the ORIGINAL class date stated on the order. Any additional rescheduling attempts will not be accommodated and will result in the forfeiture of the class fee.
Cancellation requests must be submitted at least 2 days prior to the ORIGINAL class date indicated on the order. Failure to reschedule or cancel within this timeframe will render the student ineligible for a refund.
In the event that The Gun Store and Range cancels a lesson, we will collaborate with you to determine a mutually agreeable future class date. However, the aforementioned policy will still apply to any subsequent cancellation or rescheduling attempts.

How to Reserve Your Spot to Build Your Own AR-15
- Come to the store or call (901) 872-4006 to place your pre-order.
- Select AR-15 Rifle barrel caliber (5.56 x 45 mm or .300 AAC Blackout)
- Choose rifle package (black, colored upper or lower, or complete color kit)
- Pay down payment of $500 a week before scheduled class
- NOTE: Participants may bring a second person to share in the building experience.
